There is something profoundly special about the first light of day on the Indian Ocean. Before the world stirs and the beaches fill, the sea belongs entirely to those fortunate enough to be out on it — and this half-day sunrise and snorkelling tour offers exactly that privilege. Departing Eden Island Marina at 06:00 AM, the boat glides out into the calm, still waters surrounding Mahé as the horizon begins to glow.
As you cruise gently along the coastline, the sunrise takes hold — the sky shifting gradually through shades of amber, rose, and soft lavender, reflected in the mirror-like surface of the ocean below. It is a scene of rare and quiet beauty, perfect for photography and deeply calming in a way that only nature can achieve. Your guide is on hand throughout, sharing knowledge of the coastline, marine ecosystem, and the waters you are sailing through.
Once the morning light is fully established, the boat anchors at the first of two carefully selected snorkelling locations. The waters here are clear, calm, and teeming with life — coral formations in extraordinary variety, schools of brilliantly coloured tropical fish, and the occasional sea turtle drifting unhurriedly below the surface. All snorkelling equipment is provided, and your guide accompanies guests in the water to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all, from first-time snorkellers to seasoned underwater explorers.
A second snorkelling stop offers a change of scenery and a fresh set of discoveries before the boat returns to Eden Island Marina by mid-morning — leaving your afternoon completely free and your morning thoroughly unforgettable.
